The Island of Santorini, Greece is a volcanic island in the Mediterranean which may have been the lost city of Atlantis. The island experienced a cataclysmic volcanic event in 79AD collapsing much of the land underwater but preserving some in a think layer of ash. Archaeologists have unearthed much of the artifacts and the iconic island needed a museum to house the collection and share it with tourists.
